Japanese Language Proficiency Test – JLPT

  • JLPT – Japanese language proficiency test is conducted by the Japan Foundation 2 times every year.
  • Japan Foundation is supported by Japanese Government with the help of Japan Foundations in 60+ countries.
  • JLPT exam is conducted on the same date every year on 1st week 1st Sunday of July & December. This schedule is fixed for JLPT exam every year across globe.
  • JLPT – Japanese Language Proficiency Test conducted by Japanese Foundation which is supported by Japan Govt. Below are various level of Japanese Language
    1.  N5 – Basic Japanese
    2.  N4 – Primary Level
    3.  N3- Intermediate Level
    4.  N2- Business Proficiency Level
    5.  N1- Native Japanese
  • There is no Speaking pattern in the JLPT exam. It has Read, Write, Listening only.
  • The Japanese language is made of three different text alphabets as below.
    Hiragana – Pure native Japanese Alphabet
    Katakana – Alphabet used for foreign words & sentences.
    Kanji – Alphabets are Chinese Characters from Mandarin characters in picture format.
  • The grammatical & sentence pattern of Japanese language is same as Marathi & Hindi.
  • In Japanese language Kanji is the time consuming & require more efforts to learn.
  • Approximately 1500 Kanji are required to learn to become N2 – Business Proficiency level Japanese bi-lingual professional.
  • These days education is the direct entry point in Japan just like MS education in USA for further job on H1B green card & settlement.
